As part of this engagement, a youth delegation from the Somali Region were hosted at the Swedish Embassy Which was also attended by the French, British, American, Finnish, Austrian, German, Norwegian, Australian, New Zealand, Portuguese and Belgian embassies. The youth delivered a number of presentations looking at the recent developments in the Somali region, and the role of youth in overcoming some of the challenges that still remain.

They will also be meeting with various policy makers and institutions in order to liaise with these stakeholders and covey their visions and solutions for current challenges in the Somali Region. The Youth group is comprised of a diverse cohort of youth from the Somali Region, including some from the diaspora, some of whom have previously fled the region due to forced displacement. Collectively, the youth are united in working towards meaningful conflict transformation by dedicating their efforts to key challenges which arise from post-conflict contexts. Their priorities include reconciling divisions, dealing with the past, promoting education and contributing positively to the ongoing efforts in promoting peace and security in the region.
